APPLICATION
REQUIREMENTS
AND GUIDELINES
We
will be enacting a policy of CAMRIS "yearly
reviews" for all research projects utilizing
the HUP5/6 scanners. Please note: PRODEV accounts
are only good for one year, then must be re-submitted
if the investigator wishes to continue. Notices
to be sent out in a timely fashion when projects
are up for review.

software, please attach documentation of its annual
re-approval including serial numbers if applicable.See

APPLICATIONS
ANIMAL
STUDIES ON HUP5/6:
All Animal studies on our MR Research clinical scanners
(1.5 and 3T) must undergo periodic CAMRIS review.
Investigators to submit a new application, a copy
of the MR imaging protocol, a copy of the current
animal transport letter , a copy of the current
study protocol and/or the IACUC application form
and a copy of the IACUC approval letter. Notices
to be sent out in a timely fashion
SPECIMEN STUDIES ON HUP5/6;
For Human specimens:Must submit
a renewal application, along with a copy of the
IRB re-approval letter,a copy of the IRB request
for continuing review, a copy of the study protocol
and a copy of the MR protocol to be used.
Please attach current documentation for obtaining
the specimens. Note: If bringing in specimens from
outside labs, a letter from Infection Control is
required. Specimens coming from HUP's Pathology
labs are considered "in-house" and can
be scanned as such.
For
animal specimens: Must submit a renewal application,
along with a copy of the IACUC renewal form and
re-approval letter
PRODEV
extensions
PRODEV accounts are endowments of
10 one hour slots free of charge. They are available
to investigators who need preliminary data (pilot
studies) for grant submissions. To use within one
year of approval.
For
all extensions and renewals, investigators will
need to make a personal presentation to CAMRIS committee.
a) Present a "progress report" ( one or
two paragraphs) of your work up to date
b) List the type of award and funding agency for
grant submissions that will support this work in
the future
c) Indicate the status of your proposal ( in preparation
or submitted)
d) How the additional time and/or data will help
your proposal
e) submit a
copy of the "preliminary results ( section
C) of your NIH grant application.
