Prerequisites: BE 301 or EE 224 or equivalent

Summary: Physical principles of different imaging modalities, instrumentation and image reconstruction and fundamentals. X-ray computed tomography, emission tomography (SPECT, PET), ultrasound imaging, optical imaging methods and magnetic resonance imaging. To provide an overview of fundamentals of imaging modalities with an emphasis on basic algorithmic and mathematical techniques for image reconstruction.
