Summary: Detailed introduction to the physics and engineering of magnetic resonance imaging as applied to medical diagnoses. Covered are magnetism, spin relaxation, spatial encoding principles, Fourier analysis, imaging pulse sequence and pulse design, contrast mechanisms, chemical shift, flow encoding, diffusion and perfusion and a discussion of the most relevant clinical applications.
