In particular, I have focused on the accuracy of trans-abdominal fetal cerebral oximetry. This research has extend my interest to improving the accuracy of quantifying NIRS blood oxygenation measurements in muscle and cerebral tissue by co-registering MRI structural information. My research also includes an investigation to validate MR spectroscopy with NIR fluorescence imaging in a tumor model undergoing differentiation therapy. In order to correlate MRS and optical information, I have been designing the instrumentation for simultaneous, in-magnet, NIR fluorescence measurements. Publications
